On a sidenote, I knew Empire was a good show. But not this good. I’m sure there’ll be some comparative stats soon; but Empire, believe it or not, grew AGAIN in total viewers, making it a 4-week growth for a new show. While the increase was only by about 300,000 viewers (key demo ratings stayed on par with last week in prelims), I’m sure this is ridiculously unheard of. But what will be interesting is to see what will happen when How To Get Away With Murder returns next week. The battle of the black viewer. Though on different nights, I’m sure ABC (after a great start to the year) will want to reclaim being the year’s #1 new drama.
