Joseph Mwamba is an emerging African-American Y.A. dramedy writer from Indiana. Most recently an assistant for two TV Lit agents at UTA, Joe earned a Producing MFA from Chapman University after four years at Viacom/VH1. He’s currently helping a writer with their script in development at ACI. He’s also in the HRTS Mentorship Program & an Alumni Mentor for Indiana University’s Media School Semester in LA Program.

His Y.A. action dramedy THE KNIGHT’S PHOENIX placed in seven pilot competitions over the last year, such as Semi-Finalist in Filmmatic’s Pitch Now and Quarterfinalist in Screencraft, WeScreenplay, Creative Screenplay’s Unique Voices, and most recently The Script Lab. It currently ranks in the Top 10% of all Coverfly projects, listed on Coverfly’s Red List as a Top 20 all-time action pilot (hour-long).
