Joseph Mwamba is an emerging African-American Y.A. dramedy writer from Indiana. Currently a Writers’ Assistant on Netflix’s TOM CLANCY’S SPLINTER CELL, Joe was recently a Writers’ PA for Netflix’s YOU and Apple TV’s THE AFTERPARTY and an assistant for two TV Lit agents at UTA. He previously earned a Producing MFA from Chapman University after four years at Viacom/VH1. He became an Endorsed Writer by Coverfly, a selectee into Roadmap Writers’ BIPOC Initiative, a mentee within the 2022 HRTS Mentorship Program, & an Alumni Mentor for Indiana University’s Media School Semester in LA Program.

Joe has accumulated thirteen accolades with three scripts over the past 1.5 years. His Y.A. action dramedy THE KNIGHT’S PHOENIX recently won the Grand Prize of 2022 Emerging Screenwriters’ Action & Adventure Pilot Competition, while his newest Y.A. mystery drama FINDING A LOST PEN landed him as a Quarterfinalist for the Screencraft Screenwriting Fellowship.
